I have gotten quite a few requests to post my Mark IV settings including how I mic my cabinet. Instead of bumping my clip thread I thought I would post a new one. Keep in mind that guitars, pickups, effects etc play a big part in what you hear on your own. These settings work for me and I do change them from time to time (the gain and drive knobs vacillate between 6 and 8 respectively). Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the pics, gibson5413. While everyone should of course strive to attain their own tone, it's always nice to have a reference point when troubleshooting our own configurations (and you have a great recorded tone).

It looks like you have the 57 pointed off-axis slightly. About where on the cone is it pointed? Is it at the seam of the dustcap and cone? It's a bit hard to tell through the gold tolex, and I'm not familiar with the speaker locations in the Bogner cab.

For the settings on the Mark itself, a couple questions not evident from the pics:
- Any pulled knobs (Lead Drive, Gain, or Presence)?
- Class A/Simulclass (+ tube configuration)?
- Pentode/Triode?
- Harmonics or Mid Gain?

It is on axis at the seam.

Only the Lead Gain and Drive buttons are pulled. It is set to Simulclass (all 6L6s in Full Power), Pentode and Harmonics are engaged.
