Hey, just wondering if any of you guys as ever tried a DiMarzio pickup for telecaster, I was thinking about getting the seymour duncan little 59 but the store doesn't have it on stock, tell something about Dimarzios please...

thanxs.

What sound are you looking for? Vintage? Modern? are you a traditionalist? or do you like progressive tones? Answer these then we'll chat.

I love blink 182 tone, but I also like petrucci tone, I dont know, I have a single coil (seymour duncan) and I feel I need more power, a more full sound. I wanna have my own sound, not a copy from anyone else's. But have you had any experience with DiMarzio pickups for telecaster ?

in particular with these:
DiMarzio Tone Zone T
DiMarzio Fast Track T

thanxs.

you'll never reach the tone of a full-size humbucker (used by delonge and petrucci) with a mini-humbucker, and it is so both dimarzio's and duncan's... however i think the Tone Zone T would help a lot in fattening the tone, and in a tele it wouldn't be so muddy as happens with the full-size humbucker in my opinion. The Fast Track T hasn't got an high output and i think it won't be very suitable for the genres you mentioned. Take a look at dimarzio's site and you'll discover that all mini humbuckers for telecaster have got an enphasis on the high frequencies, all except the Tone Zone T and the Super Distortion T. So i think these last two would be the best choice for a big and powerful distortion tone, but if you want a more versatile pickup (if you also like having decent cleans) i would go with the Chopper T model.

Well I went for the tone zone, hope it's good.
It arrives tomorrow, I'll try to post samples of it...

bye. and thanxs...
