Hi there, is it better to have the master on each channel of a rectifier turned up or the overall output?

Thanks in advance

Personally, I felt driven equally (both at say 11 o'clock) was about the best when I could open the amp up. That seemed to sound best on my old Rectoverb and 2ch Dual Rec anyway.

It has been my experience that if tight is what you are after, keep the channel around 9 o clock and use the output as the main volume knob.

It has also been my experience that it can start to get a little muddy once the channel master goes past 12:00
