hey all, Mesa/boogie noob here,
I purchased a DC-5 head with a 112 wide body cab recently. and I was wondering what are some issues, some owners have come across on their DC-5's? I'm asking this because I have a very touchy output level knob on the lead channel. moving the knob from 1.5 to about 2.3 is a drastic change in volume. anything below 1.5 is to quiet. but anything over 2.3 goes over practice volumes, and even jam volumes. has anyone else ever had this problem with their DC-5? if not, anything you guys suggest I do for a fix?
could this problem be caused by the previous owner, just throwing in tubes without rebiasing?

any help given would be appreciated
thanks

Hey There - I have a DC-5 Combo and it is the same way. The volume is really touchy.

You can fix it by practicing how to keep your fingers veeeerrry steady when adjusting the volume. :) Just the way it is.

It's a great amp. Enjoy it.
