Hello to every one, this is my first post and im glad to join this "Boogie Board".
Here is my question.

Ive got an old Dual recto 2 channel (dont know already the revision but I hope you can answer my question without it).
In the back panel I have 4 outputs for the cabs :

4 ohm - 4 ohm - 8/16 ohm - 8/16 ohm
Someone tell me that if one of 8/16 out is connected it is a 16 ohm and if the two are connected it's two 8 ohm output, is it true?

I don't really know how work the two 8/16 output.

I think I will need it as a want to link two 16 ohm cabinets.

I hope you will understand my problem, sorry for my bad english.

Migouelitaz.

Here is what I have for the output Cabs

Plug the 16ohm cabs into the 8/16ohm outputs.

Personally, I think they're actually two 8ohm taps wired in parallel, and if you run a single 16ohm cab you're actually using it at a mis-match. I have no proof to back up this assumption.

And how about running 2 cabs of 16 ohms???

Two 16ohm cabs in parallel give you an 8ohm load. Plug both into the 8/16 ohm jacks, or daisy chain one cab into the other, then into one 8/16 ohm jacks.

Or you could plug each cab into the head.

That's what I was trying to say.

I should really draw pictures of this stuff... so much easier than words.
