Yes they sound similar...but a combo vs. a 4X12... no comparison.

Agreed. However, I am only in the market for a 2x12 (combo or cab) right now. That said, the head would allow me to be flexible with future cab needs. My only concern is that an Orange 2x12 (closed, I believe) vs. the combo format (open) might take away some on the magic I was hearing. I guess I could keep my older Recto 2x12 which is currently halfback...

I'm a huge fan of Genz Benz stuff. I own both the 4x12 and the 2X12. The 2X12 sound like a 4X12 no joke. Check into them.
