Orange rocker 30 head with rectifier 4x12 cab???

I bought a duel rec and cab and cant part with my orange ive used before so, I heard the rectifier cab is "voiced" for the duel rec head....so would it be any good with the orange a class head??????


I had a custom 2x12 matamp cab that i sold, wish id kept it. But if the mesa cab is good with diff amps i can use that with the orange??

It will sound fine. The Orange cabs come with V30 speakers, same as the ones in your Mesa 4-12.

Mesa cabs generally sound excellent for any music style. If you searched, and tried many different cabs, you may find a better choice. But in the end Mesa makes very good cabs.

I had a Rocker 30 for 3 days. I went to the store I bought it from to get the footswitch and they had a RV50. I ended up returning the 30 and bought the RV50. I sorta wish I kept the 30. It had less gain but sounded great. I use a Orange 2-12 for that RV50 it is a little darker than a Mesa rec 2-12. But through a Mesa 4-12 it sounds very good.

Loved that clean channel on the 30.

the rocker 30 is a class and only 30 watt so can be pushed a little more than an a/b 100 watt head i found. Its amazing how loud it is though, if you think 30 watts you would maybe think not that loud....wrong....has to be the best tone ive hear for rock blues when its cranked...awsum.

yeah that clean channel maxed all the way is nice...was too loud for cleans in my band though so i just used the dirty channel for the whole gig and used the guitar volume.....very simple but got great tones...not enough gain for heavier stuff so i bought a mesa......im not that pleased with it...it dont seem to have enough feel/soul to the sound like the orange so im not sure what to do about it. Sell it after a few weeks.....?
