One Triple Rec, two cabs, what ohm?

I recently acquired a 2x12 and would like to run it in conjunction with my 4x12.

Can I run them both at 8ohm seeing as how the Triple Rec has 2 8ohm outs?

What ohm are the two cabs?

Oh Duh, sorry 'bout that.

They're both Mesa Rectifier cabs, and I believe they're both rated for 8ohms mono.

Makes enough sense to simply run them both at 8 seeing as how they put two 8 ohm outs on the amp, I just know nothing of ohms and what not and don't know if there is some kind of voodoo going on

Two 8 ohm cabs.... put them in the two 4 ohm speaker jacks.


I have 4 cabs,two are 16 ohm ,two are 8 ohm. I run the two 4x12's at 8ohms each and the 2x12 8ohm cabs at 4ohms...no problem.

Did you read your manual? Specifically pages 31-34?

Bought used, didn't get a manual

So its safe to run lower, into higher?

Say I run 4 ohms out of the amp into the 8 ohm on my cab, this is safe correct?
