Hi guys,

Okay I know this had been done over and over again. But I just don't get it how to set it up. Maybe I'm new to rack efx.
I got a g major recently and I wonder whats the common set up for it. I heard it can be used to switch channels on the amp but I do not know how the hell to do it. Anyone who can show me the signal will be good

to use the switching with the g major and 3 ch recto, You need to use the external switching jacks and hook that up to the switching jack on the G major. You will need a special cable for this though.

on the 3-channel rectos you only need a Y-cable. the stereo jack into the switching outlet of the g-major and the two mono jacks into the switching jacks of channel 1 and 3. if you don´t activate one of the relay, channel 2 will be active, because this channel is defined as "always on" on the 3-channel rectos.
i did this kind of switching with my dual recto for about 2 years, until i got a RJM RG-16.

after you plugged in the cables, you´ll have to program the switching relay in the g-major. try which relay combination does what. after all is programed, mark your switching cable, that you don´t get confused while setting up your gear at gig.

Thanks a lot man. I saw that method someone before. I was wondering is there any specific Y cable for the switching so that it will not spoil the recto. And which outlet should I plug to the G major? Sorry kinda noob here.

the switching outlet should be labeled as "switch" or something like that.
you can take a normal stereo-mono/mono cable, don´t need to be something expensive.

Thanks man. I will try it out once I get the Y cable. It's quite to find 1 around here.
