On board power outlet

I was wondering if anybody had any knowledge about the on board power outlet on the back of the mark 4 specifically. Does it hurt your tone or amp in any way to have external devices plugged into it?
I'm running a TC nova system off it because its so convenient. Have had no issues in the short term but wonder if it actually is better to not use it at all. Any help would be great?

Short answer: No.
There might be a problem if you run more than about 15 amps (that's 15,000 amperes, not fifteen amplifiers) from that outlet. So don't plug the band's entire P.A. and lights into that receptacle.
