I am looking for a rack efx unit, with relays that I can use with my roadster. I need it to be able to switch between ch 3 and 4. These are the two channels I use the most.

Also, can I still have the regular foot switch connected to the amp so I can switch between the other channels, turn the fx loop on and off, and use tuner mute (which I use a lot on stage).

I don't plan on having a lot of presets, so I will find a cheap midi switcher for it. Eventually I will move to a foots witch that can handle switching individual efx on and off, however for now, I just need it for delay/chorus and possibly pitch shifting.

How well does pitch shifting sound in a serial loop?

I used the nova system and was impressed with the sounds, but it didn't sound that great in front of my roadster.

The computer based patch management of the g-major II is a nice feature too.

I have the ability to return the unit within 30 days for credit, but I'd like to know how people are using it before I take the plunge.

Kind of an old post to reply to for my first post, but hey, why not. (Also, hello from a new guy!)

I'm running a Roadster/GMaj2 setup. I don't switch it with MIDI, but from what I understand the Amp Gizmo is what you're looking for. There are a few posts out there that explain how to go about it if you google around. (I can PM you some links if you'd like, I'd rather not post links in my first post here, heh.)

I also had the Nova before this, and I like the GMaj2 a LOT better - I ran both in the loop, and the GMaj sounds a lot cleaner. I also had quite a bit of tone soak with the Nova, though I didn't really dig into it very much to troubleshoot/try and tweak it out.
