I have an 8 ohm, and two 4 ohm outs on my amp. On my cabinet I have one 8 ohm or 2 4 ohm inputs.
Can I run each 4 ohm out on the amp into the two 4 ohm ins on the cabinet?

I understand the amp I don't understand the cab? Is the cab a 2x12 or a 4x12? Are the two 4 ohm inputs stereo? Are there any switches on the cab?

Off hand I would say just run a speaker cord for the 8 ohm out to the 8 ohm in on the cab.

Mesa Standard Recto 4x12. The 4 ohms split the 4x12 to 2 2x12's. No switches.

4x12 (choice of slant or straight front), 280 Watts, 4 - Celestion Vintage 30 Speakers, Wired for Mono or Stereo, Track-Loc Casters, 8 Ohms Mono / 4 Ohms Stereo

I can run it at 8 ohms of course. But I wanted to try the 2 4 ohm jacks into the cabs 2 4 ohm jacks. :?:

Try it it won't hurt anything. I doubt you will hear any difference as the two 4 ohm outputs are wired in parallel so instead of the parallel connection inside your cab it is in the head except it comes off a different winding. Boogie actually recommends mismatching as they have faith in their output transformers so you could run the 8 ohm out in to a a 4 ohm input that might make a noticeable difference. I could hear a difference running my Ganesha at 16 or 4 ohms matched to the cab.

I did try it and I noticed a positive difference. Just want to be safe. I have plugged both 4 ohm outs into 2 8 ohm cabs before. :?:

If it were any other amp but a Boogie I would tell you not to do it. But the manual from Boogie actually suggest mismatching impedance so who am I to argue with them.

That said I still wouldn't over do it one step either way I wouldn't plug the 4 ohm out into a 16 ohm cab. :? :(

As long as the impedence of the speaker is larger then the impedence of the amplifiers output your safe. Just don't go the other way around. For instance if your using the 4 ohm out on the amp it's safe to hook up 8 or 16 ohm speakers, but don't hook up a 4 ohm speaker to an 8 ohm amp output.
