should i buy tubes from? i live in southern orange county and i dont really want to have to ship tubes so is there anywhere that will have a wide selection of tubes? and if you guys have recommendations on what, ill listen to that too. its for a mark iv and im looking to get new preamp tubes too. plus im kinda torn between el34 or 6l6.

Bob ant Eurotubes has been outstanding for me to shoot the manure back and forth about my style and particular amp and to that end...pick a tube set for what ever amp I am discussing. He's a great guy. I know there are many out there, ( i keep seeing the name "Doug" and I don't know him... I will dig into that ..)you just need to hook up on a first name with them somewhere. That means, find them / talk to them/ spend $.
