I put my Nomad in the shop to get a few pots repaired and to get a rattle/vibration checked out. Well almost 2 months later I get it back and the overall output has to be turned almost all the way up to be at playable live band levels. The repair ticket says that he replaced the channel 1 master pot. Is there anything while replacing the channel 1 master pot that could have caused the overall output to be working at like 1/5th of normal power? Can it damage the amp by playing it while it's like this? Also, I can hear my tubes rattling like crazy when I play. I don't remember this before, is this normal? I replaced all the power tubes last night just to be sure the volume issue wasn't that. I know I'm gonna have to take it back but I am just tired of being without it....Advice please!

thanks

I'd call Mesa and see what they say. Especially if the shop is Mesa certified. If Mesa thinks they botched it up then the shop has to do what Mesa tells them to do to get it fixed, otherwise Mesa can pull their certification. A buddy of mine went through a similar situation with a dealer. He played a TR at the store and it sounded bad *** so he bought one. They pulled him a new one from the back and he took it home and hooked it up. It sounded like total butt crack so he took it back to the store. They told him they'd have to send it off to get repaired. He called Boogie right there from the store and handed the shop owner the phone. Mesa told him that he showed them having several more in stock....give him a new one right now and then they could send the bad one back. Shop owner was pissed but did what Mesa told him to do. Give it a shot.
