Bud has a Mk IV from one of the last production years, I figure about 2 or 3 years old now. He has some rack effects and pedals going on. He's getting a rather loud buzzing, which is steady. Pulling out the loop send return cables result in same noise. Each cab in the 2 cab setup making same noise, unplugging one at a time. So essentially, guitar, cable, head, speaker cable x 2 and cabs producing noise. Swapped out guitar and guitar cable, same noise. I'm now ruling out everything but the head, correct? I tried plugging the head into a different wall socket, no luck. I know tubes can get microphonic, but can they cause this steady ground type noise? Would I narrow down to preamp or power tubes if tubes can do this?
