Hello all, I just resurrected a 395 power amp, but the new tubes don't allow the top cover to be screwed on. What should I do? I don't want to remove the coverbecause it protect crap from settling in the transformer area. Any suggestions? BTW I put in STR440's, It used to have STR420's

are u the same guy posting this on TGP?
maybe its the tube sockets?Im not sure if this adjustable..But theres two screws on each socket..

My outer sockets is higher than the inner. But still sit nicely..Leaving just few mm above it.

Hello there,

Do you know if it's possible to put el34 tubes in a 395?
(in the Class A sockets)

It doesn't say in the manual...

Cheers,
M.
