Think this could be a good idea, but after scrolling through pages and pages of threads, I was thinking
this section could maybe do with a sticky thread for newbies to the rectifier amps, with some basic details
and info explaining typical noises, and behavior of the various recto models, so that new users don't ask
the same things over and over...
Kinda like a FAQ's thread or something.
For example things like,
Dual/Triple Rectifier's will usually make a buzzing noise for a couple of seconds when first switching on the power.
Rectifiers make a popping sound when changing through the various channels when you have your guitar muted.
Noises that come from the amp itself (not the output speaker noises) slight quiet rattle when amp is idle.
Noise from the speakers, what is considered normal operation noises, buzzing or static noises etc etc etc.
I am sure the more experienced guys out there will have more ideas to add to this, but it is just an idea, and maybe
a short explanation of what is happening in the given scenario, if this is known, just to give the guys new to valve amps,
and new to Recto's, a bit of an idea on what they can expect straight up, and not post so many same old questions.
I think it would be a cool thing anyway, any thoughts on this??
Cheers!
