1) For those of you that have a series II solo or rectoverb, does the the light on the footswitch channel switch change from red to green, like the lights on the amp front panel, or does it just go off/red for channel 2.

2) I hear a buzz (almost like a metalic snare buzz) at low volumes when I hit an open low E. I think it might be a power tube because I can stop it when I hold the tube and keep it from vibrating, but the tube seems to be functioning normally otherwise. Is this noise indicitave of a power tube going bad?

3) on the high gain channel at louder volumes, is there always some noise/hum to be expected when the gain is turned past 1-2 o'clock, even with nothing plugged in? The more the amp is on, the more prononuced the hum.

4) will a noise suppressor like an ISP decimator through the effects loop kill the high gain hum?

Thanks.

Both my other guitar player and myself have rectoverbs

1) its off and red, no green on footswitch

2) Power tube rattle is common in combos, both mine and my other guitar players rectosverbs both have rattle, it never affects live use or recording though, although it is annoying.

3) Yes all tube amps will make noise to some extent, more so when loud or in high gain mode.

4) You really won't notice the hum when playing, i really would avoid a noise supressor if possible.
