New pedal to my new (old) Marshall (mastodon)

Hey guys,

I've just bought a Marshall head - a Marshall JMP mkII 50w /without a mastervolume.

Normally I've just ran one cable from the guitar to the amp (trem'o'verb), I haven't ever used pedals and is totally lost in this new world.

I'm looking for a sound like Mastodon (Blood Mountain and Crack The Skye) but what would be the right pedal for me.

I live in Denmark and you can't buy the Mastortion-pedal here, so that's out of the question, I would like to try the pedal with my amp before buying.

No master volume? Better get a THD Hotplate or something!

As far as pedals, get an Ibanez Tube Screamer and call it good.

And I don't the Mastortion has anything to do with Mastodon. I could be wrong though.

Get a master volume mod for it. And some kind of tubescreamer. 808 I would think. Catalinbread Dirty Little Secret would do what you ant and then some.

I am not going to mod it. It's totally stock now with mustards caps and I think it would a shame to mod it (after all it is a 50w and not a 100w).

I have bought a Ibanez TS-9 and is on my way to buy a Ibanez Tube King but I haven't recieved any of the yet (they are that cheap so if I wanted to sell them again, I wouldn't lose any money on them)

Brent Hinds helped design the Mastortion and I am now willing to buy it in the US but I can't find any who sells them?
