Need to verify which tubes are actually in use...

I have read the manual for my Stiletto Deuce. I want to know which power tubes are actually in use when it is in the 50 watt stage. There's 4 power tubes, but only two of them are used when selected to 50 watts. They all light up, so I get confused. Does anyone know? Also, can I yank out the ones that are not in use? Thanks.

in 50 watt mode the two outer ones are in use. You can yank out the two inner ones, i ve done this before and had no problems. You can tell that the two other ones are in use cuz you can see a bluish filament in them that are inherint in all power tubes....(yes i know know that blue is gasses leaked into the tube, but all have blue to some degree).
