need some advice to upgrade from my 3ch DR to Roadster...

here is my situation....I have a 3ch Dual Recto, I really like the Modern settings on the 3rd channel but the clean from the 1st channel is not just quite there for me.... I like the Fender clean type of sounds...I really do not want another to purchase another head but this is what I am thinking on doing....

so please help me choose....

keep the Dual Recto and get a Fender Supersonic head or Dr Z. EZG-50 head
or
Upgrade my Dual Recto to a Roadster head

Definitely Roadster. It will get the Fender clean you want and the same distortion as the DR solo, except a little smoother.

BEFORE I BOUGHT THE ROADSTER I SERISOULY CONSIDERED THE FENDER SUPERSONIC ITS A REALLY GOOD AMP FOR THE MONEY, BUT JUST KEPT COMING BACK TO THE MESA. AFTER ABOUT 3 TRIPS TO THE STORE PLAYING THE SUPERSONIC I REALLY TOOK A CLOSE LOOK AT IT AND THE BUILD QUALITY WAS JUST NOT AS GOOD AS THE ROADSTER. IF THE FENDER HAD DIFFERENT TONE CONTROLLS FOR THE 2 CLEAN CHANNELS IT WOULD HAVE WON.

I SAY GO WITH THE ROADSTER

Thank you for all your responses...well I just called the GS and they are willing to trade in my DR for a Roadster; futhermore, I was also curious on the Road King II and it is retailed around 1000$ more than the Roadster, now that is ridiculous but tempting... I will see what I can do now...

Finally, I am happy....

I went to the local GS and traded my 3ch DR for a......no not a Roadster, but a Road King II.... I have tried booth the Roadster which is a very good amp, but I like the fact that I was able to mix my tubes on the spot with the RKII... My trade was not cheap plus some looses from the trade, but well worth the extras...

I really like the cleans on this tone machine...very versatile

Again, thank you for your help forum...

Now I got the best of booth worlds, DR Road King II and JCM800 RI into a 2 X EVM-12L open cab
