Well, after taking out my chassis and merrily snapping pics thinking I was doing a fellow Boogie-Boarder a solid, lo and behold, I have a RP11a in my IIc to + upgrade!! Dammit, I'm sorry to get your hopes up, man. Oh well, I can at least take the opportunuty to do some "spring cleaning" I guess. Sorry!! Z
I came across this thread when I was searching for discussion of the RP10 pre-amp board. I, too, am trying to figure out the schematic for the IIC (which is the amp I have). Based on the circuit probing that I've done so far, it appears to be some weird mash-up of IIB with the IIC+ (which is not too surprising). Some gut shots are available at...
I'm currently focused on V1B, which appears to have the effects "send" linked off its cathode. That was very unexpected. Also, V1B appears to have no cathode bypass cap and it appears to have a very large cathode resistor (15K). Bizarre. This might be the cause of some fizzy sounding distortion on the clean channel when running with the gain knob set high.
