Need help identifing EV speaker

A guy is selling this near me and has it advertised as a EV 12M. He doesn't know anything more about it. Can anyone tell me if this is the EVM 12L or 12S or maybe something else. I've seen a lot of different looking EVM 12L's before.

Take off that finned heat sink and see if there are any numbers stamped on the back. Sure looks like an 12L to me, only with a black rather than silver basket. Compare it to the one in your Thiele. I've read that the "S" model has a shorter basket, front to back.

Per the data sheets here (http://archives.telex.com/archives/EV/Speakers/EDS/), they made a 10M, 12L and 12S. Sometimes the black baskets were the 300 watt version. Get the numbers as MrMarkIII suggests.

Thanks for the help. For only $75 I'm going to go ahead and pick it up in the morning. If I don't like it I don't think I'll have any problem getting my money out of it. I read a few minutes ago that the L has a depth of 135mm and the S is 126mm.
