Need help dating a 400+

Well, I have finally decided to pull the trigger on a 400+. The serial number is: b4380. Does that mean it is the 4,380th head built? Can anyone ballpark a year on this?

Apparently, not.
I suggest calling Mesa for that information. They don't do email much and a phone call works better.
