Just bought a triple rec to replace my old line 6 setup and I need help setting up an effects rig. Right now all I have is a wah...my band plays 80's metal and not sure which direction to go...I would appreciate any advice!

i might suggest a chorus pedal, delay, OD like a tube screamer, maybe a phaser, and a mark series amp. lol just kidding about the mark series... what bands do you guys cover.. or originals...

keep it simple though... a couple clean tones and a couple distorted tones. The less you think about it, the less you will need to tweak, and the more you will play.

Thanks for the advice...We play mostly originals but we do cover some Ozzy, Iron Maiden and Sabbath. I need to change quickly from different lead sounds with delay (long or short) and sometimes flange back to a crunch rhythm tone with as little footswitching as possible. The line 6 stuff had me kind of spoiled there but I love the new tube sound! Maybe a couple of stomp boxes will do the trick. Thanks again!

I dunno how much ur willing to cash out but I love my g system.
Also if u like to control everything with the push of one button but still wanna go with pedals a gcx + ground control pro might be what u need.
I also highly recommend adding an od in front of the amp for ur leads..

Thanks for the advice...the G system looks cool, maybe I can swing that later. I'll try an overdrive for sure.
