It arrived earlier in the week. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to spend too much time with it until this evening. I traded my Mark V head for this beautiful combo. I have disconnected the internal speaker and using it like a head through my Bogner OS 2x12. So far, I'm loving this amp. I dialed in a lead tone I am very satisfied with in about 3 to 5 minutes. Very open and sustains very well. The lead tone is very musical. I'll give more of a review after a couple of weeks with the amp.

I did a quick cover of my favorite Satriani tune (If I Could Fly). I'll post a heavier clip by this weekend but put this one together to show off the lead tone I dialed in. Sounds great to my ears!

I'll reply to questions when I get back from my dentist appointment.

That sound really fantastic!!!! No boost pedals or anything? How is your delay set up?

i havent listened yet (at work) but im sure its good as all your clips are.

why the trade? were you always after a C+ and the opportunity arose, or were you let down by the V, and really just wanted the C+ sound anyway?

oh.. thats not joe satriani... that's coldplay!

No boosts at all. I am using just a straight digital delay from my Rocktron Xpression through the loop. Thanks for listening.

I liked the V. Two reasons I went this direction:

1. I have always wanted a IIC+ and an opportunity opened up for me to do a straight trade for it.

2. I love channels 1 & 2 on the V but struggled a bit to get Channel 3 how I like it. I could have been fine with it but decided to jump on this since IC+s are few and far between.

Added backing track if anyone cares to give it a try. Used the amps' clean channel for the right side and my acoustic plugged straight into the mic preamp for the left:

Congrats! Is it a simul or 100/60? Also, can you do a clip with the Mccarty showing a nice PRS tone?

It is Simul-Class. Unfortunately, my McCarty is being used by my brother in Oregon. i won't have it back until this Fall. Is there anything specific you would like me to record with the IIC+? I would be happy to do what you are looking for.

Could you maybe record a clip of DT's Lines in the Sand. The solo is what I want to hear but the whole song is just amazing. The clip you just recorded sounds awesome too !

Not really aside from the PRS. One of the best recorded tones I ever heard was a mccarty into a C+. Ultra smooth and rich.

You're being way to kind. Admit it..........this IIC+ just kills the Mark V. It's easy to tell from your clips. Sorry to say that your Mark V clips were.....egh.ok sounding. These IIC+ clips you're posting sound a LOT better than the Mark V.

Dumping the Mark V for the IIC+ was a SLAM DUNK for you. Congrats.

Now look what you've done! They will have to revise the MkV manual and think of a word that will slam the owners of MkV's that trade them for the C+.

Welcome to the "family".

If Mesa pays me I'll write any BS they want  It's probably funny to the guys to make us crap for their manuals, like such nonsense as "hazy harmonic spreads" or " lucious breathy bottom" I wonder if those guys are watching porn while writing these manuals.
