My TOV is giving me problems (link to pics inside)

Do I have the LDR's that are VACTEC or SILONIX?

Can anyone see what could be wrong with my amp?



When I turn on the amp, I get tone for about half a second then it cuts off to a crackling whisper. It can barely be heard if I dime the volume. It doesn't matter what channel I'm on.

All tubes are glowing, channel switching still works. I've tired other tubes and checked the fuse.

Also, when I had been using it, it would SOMETIMES make a pop sounded when I switched channels.

If you haven't replaced ALL of the tubes (pre-amp and power) start there, and report back. A glowing tube does not indicate functionality. Just that the heater works.

Sounds to me like you have a bad pre-amp tube. Probably V1. Occasional pop on switching channels could be indication of a tube failing.
