Be gentle!

I am not a huge Ozzy fan but I have been rediscovering Randy's playing as of late. I forgot what a great player he was for his time. No one played like him. I felt inspired to throw a vintage Randy clip up, I Don't Know. I learned the tune as I recorded the clip. I recorded two takes of the solo and kept the second one. It isn't note for note but who cares.

It was kind of fun to hear the Mark IIC+ take a shot at a tune that had Marshall written all over it. The amp was at low volume with no boost. Used delay on the lead and a very slight echo with the rhythm guitars that is barely audible.

Just thought I would share and get your thoughts. Let me know if you would like me to post the backing track.

Sounds different from the Marshall tone, but sounds good. And beats the crap out of any Mark V tone you had. :p

I always like Randy's playing but never his tone. I love how you recorded that.

Sorry for the late reply guys. Here are the settings I used for the clips:

numbers would help :D
Looks to me like:

Volume 1: 8 pulled
Treble: 7
Bass: 0.5
Mid: 3
Master: 3 pulled
Lead Drive: 8
Lead Master: 3.5
Presence: Well, my x-ray vision is on the fritz lol

That's it. I have since kept the Lead Drive pulled too. Presence was set to 3. My cab is loaded with V30s.
