Never played one yet... thought I'd give it a shot. My Recto is a 1992 (#929) with (MKIII aka pre500 tranny) in very nice condition with newer JJ tubes through-out.

Pictures can be seen here----> http://gear-monkey.com/Gear-Vault/auction_details.php?name=1992-Dual-Recto-Blackface-R0929-pre1000-w-footswitch&auction_id=100242

And here is a youtube demonstration of it ----> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsceRfQ--Bk

Hit me up for a trade.

Mods, can we please end this waste of server space? How many times has this EXACT same thread been posted?? Just because the responses weren't what gear monkey wanted, or is there another reason gear-monkey?

I say again...

It's missing 2 screws from the bottom of the chassis (I wouldn't ship it or want it shipped to me that way) and also missing the tube protecting metal plate..... I think that alone should make you cut the price down by $400, cause that's the going price of an original pre-1000 metal guard screws....... Why do you even keep posting this stuff here, no one that reads through these forums is gonna do that trade or buy it for that price....

toneaddict. I never said that I'm looking for a straight up trade. I have cash to boot.

I do have the tube protector.. I robbed one off another DR that I have and it's a perfect fit. I have some spare Mark IV parts laying around here someplace, I'd throw some in before it ships.

I might just buy a Road King for X-mas. I'm undecided if I want to drop $2k for a head. But man am I gass'n for one. Ever get that itch man? It's painful. LOL

Can you show us some up close pictures of the transformer? :) You show these pictures over and over again but you only get so close to the transformer and never show any of it up close and those pictures look pretty professional looking for a hobbyist.

Also, does anyone here think it would be possible to have an amp and switch out the transformer for let's say...a Mark III one? Thus making it a Pre-1000 with a Mark III transformer. That really wouldn't make it that special of an amp at all would it. It would just be like getting it modded right?

Seriously though Gear Monkey. I'll trade you my digitech RP250 and my Crate Power Block for it! The Power Block is dicontinued man! They are rare!!! It gets a really dark sound to it when I mess around with those knobs on it...you know those ones called Bass Middle and Treble and talk about chug!

I'm actually thinking about making a demonstration video on how to properly disassemble a recto and show people what to look for to determine what recto they have.

Think that's a good idea? I get emails from people and it's exhausting trying to walk them through the process. I mean, I don't mind it.. but I think a demo video would be a great idea. What do you think?
