Hi!
I recently got my Mesa Quad and we finally did some recording with it .. and I love it!
Here's the link to our myspace site: http://www.myspace.com/grizzlyisland

The first two songs were recorded with my quad (the others are old recordings, not bad either but .. well :) )

so, what do you think? 8)

edit: just finnished a recording session .. now all the songs are new and sounding pretty awesome

Hmm, not bad! The guitars seem a little bit muffled though, like you were recording from too far away or something... how are your mics setup?

The music reminds me of The Offspring, kinda punky sounding.

actually I was recording direct and then i added a speaker simulation from guitar rig .. sounds better than with the crap mic i've got ^^

which channel did you use? and which settings?
i guess you used the lead2 plus a V-shape EQ, am i right?
btw. have you ever tried impulse files with an convolution reverb plugin for speakersimulation? - if not, give it a try.

Well, for all the rhythm guitars i used rhythm 2, except on the last song, where i went for lead 1 which after some tweaking sounds better to me.
I used these settings:
Channel 1: Vol:6, Tr:7, Bs:3, Md:6(pulled), Master:5, Drive:10, Ld.Master: 5(pulled)
Channel 2: Vol:8(p), Tr:7(p), Bs:3(p), Md:4, Master:10, Drive:10, Ld.Master:7(p)
The EQ is set to a V-shape on all my sounds

And as a matter of fact I use imulse responses all over the place now and all these records where done with such (only for speaker sim.), all effects come from a g-major 2
