my dual rec tone

i got a 2 channel dual rec with a mesa slant 4x12 cab i love the tone when in standing on either side of cabinet but when i stand in front of the cabinet it sounds like its missing some bottom end and sounds abit thin is this normal

Yep, that's normal. The V30s are pretty directional speakers. A beam blocker might help out some.

thanks man so when im gigging and the cab is miced up would it be sounding like what i hear standing on the side or the front of cab

Neither and both.

It will pick up a lot of the speaker's directivity, but you'll also get some of the cab in there too. Also, it depends on where the mic is placed as to how shrill/warm it sounds. Good soundmen know where to place the mic to get the best tone.
