my amp doenst seem to have as much gain as it used to help!

i have a triple rec and is doesnt seem to have as much gain as it used to what could be the problem with it? i have had it for about 3 years and have replaced the 6l6 tubes and the rectifier tubes but i have never changed the 12ax7 could this be the problem?

It's not outside the realm of pssobility that it's a preamp tube. The nice thing is they are relatively cheap to replace. Try swapping out V-1 with a known good tube andmove from there to see if the gain returns.

If you normally ran your gain lower and got a good saturation and now have to dime it, my guess is the amp has thrown a grid resistor. Tech time. Relatively cheap to replace though. Had the same thing in a DR.
