Mute LED is always on no matter what.

Just got a brand new In box mark V. Plugged it let it warm up but noticed the mute LED was on. But the led on the foot switch was not. No sound through the effects loop whether I push or pull the knob for the mute and through the foot switch. The LED stays on even when I switch to hard bypass. I get every bit off sound but the Mute LED is still on. With the hard bypass engaged the Mute LED is on but according to the manual if hard bypass is engaged neither the FX loop or the mute LED should be off. But the Mute LED remains on no matter what. Anyone got any tips?

I would make sure the foot switch cable is fully seated on both ends. If that doesn't work, maybe someone who actually owns a Mark V can help you out. 8)

Sounds like a footswitch or footswtich cable issue to me. By now I am sure you have tried reseating the cable. Does the Mute LED stay on when you remove the footswitch cable from the back for your Mark V? If it is off when you do this it is most certainly a footswitch or footswtich cable issue.

Foot switch not attached light is still on. The foot switch works perfect it will even turn the effects loop on and off along with the mute. But the mute light never goes out.

Got it fixed was just a small issue. Don't remeber what exactly he did but he got it worked out which is good.
