Hi, I've got some Mullard valves I pulled out of an old Bush Radio and was wondering what they were and if any were usable in my Dual Recto?
They are as follows:

UCC85
UF89
UCH81
UL84
UABC80

I'm guessing the ucc85 is an ecc85 and the ul84 is an el84 but i have no idea what the others are! Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Check out the National Valve Museum for these tube numbers.

What I just read there about the UL84, when compared to the EL84, is: "the UL84 is designed to operate at lower anode voltages and increased anode current." Sounds like that'd be a short-lived experiment, subbing one for an EL84. My guess is that the others are just teasers, or almost-treasures, too.

Sucks when that happens...

I tore apart some old tube gear checking out the minis and the smaller bottled 6V6 looking tubes only to figure out that all my bounty was for not. Almost every tube was just obsolete and not used for anything anymore except to restore those old units.

I was really hoping to find use for a couple dozen 12fq8's too...
