Which one do you guys prefer for your Mesa Boogie Rectifier amp?

Shure SM57 or Sennheiser e609?

Live and in the studio I've only used the SM57, good sound, but I wouldn't mind trying something else, like the Senheiser....just haven't had the time or the means.

Though placement plays a large role in good mic sounds, I have found the Audix i5 to be my favorite so far for high gain tones. I also have a 57 and an e609. The 57 would be my second choice.

The i5 seems a bit tighter in the lows and has a more brilliant and defined high end than a 57.

The 57 has a cool growl in the low mids that the i5 misses.

The e609 is a bit darker and works great for other tones and applications, but it didn't strike me as a good match for the "Recto" sound.

Those are just my opinions, mileage will vary.
