Have you guys seen this thing? I tried one out today and I hate to admit it but my jaw was laying on the floor.

It does get a little jarbled after about 2 full steps but cmon you can't ask for everything. And at $200 not a bad price either.

Did anyone end up getting one of these? Im considering it as I dont gig or anything. I would love to be able to jam from song to song without having to change guitars.

Any owners out there with any comments?

I owned one for a couple of days but in the end wasn't worth the trade off for me. My intent was to use it in a band that dropped tuned everything 1/2 step and I didn't want to setup all my guitars, especially the double locking trems. It was fine for higher gain stuff but for clean tones the latency, though minimal, really felt off to me and I just couldn't get over it. Not as noticeable with distortion though. On the other hand for occasional use like just a couple of songs here and there I think I could have worked with it. The feel and presence of a tube amp is very important to me otherwise I'd consider a modeler. Using the Droptune for me, especially clean, was like playing though an amp modeler. Not bad, sounded fine but didn't feel quite right.

With all that said I am keeping my eyes open for a used one cheap for occasional use. I've seen some on ebay selling used around $80 lately. At that price I may keep it for occasional use, maybe.

i'll be following this thread, I am curious about the droptune pedal especially in a band setting. I play with a keyboard player and his transpose button is...well, envious as a guitar player.

I've been gigging steady for over a year with the Morpheus Drop tune. It's enabled me to skip all the dead space during a show by tuning another guitar and I no longer bring 4 guitars with different tunings to a show. I run 2 Ibanez Jems w/Floyds and unless you pre-tune you know what a hassle that would be to drop tune in a live situation. I also run a couple of Ibanez RG's (one hard tail and one I have a Tremol-no installed to make it a hard tail) and I usually keep those in drop D tuning with my Jem's standard. Most of our setlist is high gain and the Morpheus becomes more transparent. You have to dial it in and get used to it and know how it performs with your guitars/pickups. If mine were busted or stolen I wouldn't hesitate to get another.

That's just my $ .02
