Wanna see something strange?..Theese are the oddities that i've found in my new C+ after a full exploration of the PCBs...

Beetween pins 4 & 5 of the right outer socket i found a 20pf cap..

I found a strange cap on the 6600Hz slider. Like those used for the vintage reissue of old Plexi (Sozo - mustard). And also the cap on the 80Hz is different from the others too.

Let's hear your opinions..

P.S. BoogieBabies: You betta connect pins 1-8 of the outer sockets! You told me!

The black tantalum on the 80hz is normal. The other metal ones are hermetically sealed. The 6600 cap is definatly not a Boogie deal that I know of, but the component value is correct. They have thousands of tantalum capacitors in stock that would work. I would talk to Mike B. to be sure, but I have never seen this but the type of cap may alter the shaping of the 6600. Heck, it may be original and they ran out in 1984. I have no idea about the 20pf on the outer socket or why it would be there. Most later Boogies have a 75pf in parallel from the plates on the phase inverter, but this has nothing to do with that. Yes, with modern tubes connect pin 1 and 8 on the outer EL34 sockets.

Do you think it'd be better to 'delete' it?
