Mod possible? Midrange pot value MkV vs MkV:25

Just asking if anyone here knows, before I go to the trouble of pulling the chassis.
I really like the MkV:25 clean channel, with the extended range of the mid control (at max pretty much defeating the tone stack).
I'm familiar with the concept from Allen Amps, among others. Basically use a 250k pot for mid instead of the usual 10k to 25k.

I'm wondering if it's feasible to swap a higher value mid pot in the MkV channel 1 and achieve pretty much the same thing.

I don't own a V:25 so i don't know for sure. But I feel that it is precisely what Mesa have done: use a 100k mid pot instead of the classic 10k pot.
But the 100k pot must be logarythmic in order to work approximatively like a classic mid control between 0 and 5, and boost above 5.
So it must be feasible.
