Thinking about getting another Mesa. Leaning more and more towards the MKIV. Can you dial in an awesome lead tone and retain a nice clean channel or is there still too much eq sharing between the channels like a MKIII to do this? Maybe I should get another MKIII for cleans and A/B between it and the MKIII I already have? I've also considered the Lonestar.
Thanks!

Your clean and lead channels are not shared in the Mark IV. The channels are: R1 (clean) shares with R2 (where clean leaves off through nice crunch), and then LD (lead channel glory unaffected by shared eq's except the graphic eq). This is what you want. Really.

Thanks Russ! Hopefully in the next couple of months I can get one. I'm buying a house though so my toys might be on hold for a while. Can never have too many amps and guitars!
