MKIIC+ Overheating help..!!

After about a two hour session tonight i noticed that the mains transformer on my C+ is way way hot , is this normal ??
Output transformer feels about the usual temp no worries there
Never noticed this before and worried it might burnout
Any feedback here appreciated..

I obviously don't know how hot your transformer was, but mine gets pretty hot. As do the ones on my rectos.

Mine usually gets a little warmer than the OT. Depends on how long I keep it running, so I don't really remember. But if you have the export tranny with the voltage switch, remember to match the voltages correctly with the one in your wall socket.

I was comparing the C+ mains tranny temperature with my MKIV which runs way cooler than this
Definitely no burning smells and cooling fan working away fine but it still does get :twisted: :twisted: hot

I would guess approx five times hotter easy than the OT..

give the factory a call on Monday morning. Never know what may be wrong...It would be a shame to blow out that transformer since they don't make them anymore.
