from a glimpse, yes it looks real. For this to occur Mike would have needed to install a whole new preamp board since the C/C+ board was different than the stuff used on the A and B models. If you can get the guy to take a picture of the circuit board revision, you can really confirm it.

However, I would not be surprised if Ed can take one look at this and tell you if it's real.

You can also ask for the serial # and call the factory to check their records.

Looking at the component placement, the preamp board is defo RP11 C+, and from the position of the screen grid resistors on the outer sockets, it's also a legit simul. The power supply boards are the old MarkIIA style and have not be upgraded to the IIC/IIC+ board, but this shouldn't be a problem. This baby's fully loaded, even has the export tranny (probably the x105). The EQ transistors are socketed, quite rare on older amps. All this means is that they could be replaced without the need for soldering. There's a miniature round cermet bias pot installed.
