Mk IIC+ Channel Switching

When I use the footswitch to go from Clean to Drive mode it is instantaneous. When I go from Drive to Clean mode The volume drops a little and then ramps up to full volume. There is a little lag. Anyone ever experience this?? What is the cure, LDR?

Probably the LDR. It is the dual element at the far left of the circuit and is a booger to get to.

What is LDR? Can you guys elaborate and also explain why/what is actually happening technically that causes this?

Light Dependent Resistor. Mesa uses them to silently switch channels or add in componentry to a circuit. They are ofter called opto couplers as well.
