I have a recently purchased 2C+ combo that has an odd reverb issue. Wondering if any of you folks can lend some ideas. In clean mode reverb circuit works completley as it should. But, in lead mode only, reverb can not be shut off completely. The control pot adds more verb, but even with the pot completely rolled backed there is is still a small amount of reverb "ever present" I can only turn the reverb entirely off by disconnecting the reverb unit send and return cables. Do any of the experts here have any thoughts? Could this be a tube issue?

Thanks!!

Thanks, but don't think so in my case. I have another 2c+ to compare with and on that amp reverb control rolled off, the effect is completely off for both modes. On the troubled amp, I have also noticed increased lead master settings apparently raise the verb level.

Sounds like the reverb grounding mod will help you out. Try soldering the sleeve of both reverb RCA jacks that plug into the chassis and see if that resolves the issue.

Thank you GTS, that was it, replaced V3 pre amp tube and unintended reverb "bleed through" in lead mode is gone.
