mixing Standard and Traditional Recto cabs?

Hello,

Does anyone have experience/opinions with mixing these different cabs in the same rig?

I have a TriAxis/2-90 set-up but haven't decided on which Mesa cabs yet. (I'm currently using Marshall 1960 cabs.)

I was wondering how Standard Recto 4x12 cabs on the bottom and Traditional Recto 4x12 cabs for the tops would sound together? The best of both worlds are not a good mix?

As long as you didn't have any phase cancellation going on it would be just as you described. Best of both worlds.

The dude from Alter Bridge does the same thing. You're probably only going to mic one, so the end result is for your listening pleasure.
