I've recently gone from using the footswitch & an fx unit in the loop to using an rjm mini amp gizmo with the same fx and a Behringer fcb 1010 footswitch with the uno modification.

I can't get the amp's reverb to work. I've tried pressing the buttons manually on the rjm, as well as using a mono lead from the footswitch output on the fcb, but no joy. And with the lead we tried having the output both on and off.
I also tried a latching footswitch connected into the 1/4" socket on the back, but again nothing. When we connected the same footswitch into a external channel switching socket it switched it fine.

I unplugged the rjm (it has the dedicated lead) from the DIN socket and connected the standard Mesa footswitch. Lo and behold I can turn the reverb on and off!

Any ideas why only the official footswitch turns the reverb on?

I can work round it by using the reverb in the fx unit, but I prefer the amp's spring reverb

And yes the loop's switched in - all fx work fine.

Also all the other buttons on the RJM work fine- solo, mute, fx loop & channels.

I am assuming this is a Roadster we are talking about.

Does the External Switching for the reverb work when there is nothing plugged into the Footswitch DIN socket?

Maybe try cleaning the Reverb's 1/4" External Switching Jack (BTW- This is a MONO connector).

If nothing helps give mesa a call.
