Anyone tried a Mini with an open or partially open back cabinet?

I am using mine with a vertical 2x12 recto cabinet, wondering what it might sound like without a closed back?

I demo'd it with a transatlantic cab which is a 3/4 back with c90. Sounded pretty stinking good, if a bit darker than a v30. It is a good tone but different. Try before you buy...

Thank you - I forgot to mention my recto cabinet has a C90 on top and a V30 on bottom.... I like the sound of my ED with a C90 better

Pretty much. (Except that an Orange 1 x 12 with a v30 sounds terribly fizzy next to the Mesa Transatlantic cab I tried)

v30s are THE speaker to run with a Recto.
