Mid tone knob for chan3 is not working? Or is it by design?

I completely turned off the EQ on channel 3. And then I turned the mid tone knob in the tone stack up and down, but I don't hear huge differences. Does your mid have no effect either or do I have problem with my amp? Thank you for any information.

There was a recent thread about this. Yes, the mid doesn't make much difference on CH3. Here's that thread:

Thanks man. I just find it obscure why mesa designed it that way.
