it doesn't look like a channel LED, it seems to be inside the amp.

Probably either lighting at the show or maybe an LED inside the back of the head to make it glow through the grill.

Those are dummy amps, (as far as I know they dont use DR's live) so they may not even contain a functional amp chassis inside.

Oui. Just dummies. With a light connected to the switch on the head. You see dummies on ebay from time to time.

Kirk does use a Dual Rec live. He has two Racktifiers in a rack, but nothing upfront. Het does use a 3 Channel in the tuning room.

They are indeed dummy heads and it's probably just a couple of green LEDs back there. They used their normal racks offstage...But Kirk still used/uses rackmount rectos.

I'm thinking about doing that to mine, MetalMatt, your's looks awesome dude!! 4nkam, Papa Het still using the VH-4 live, or has he gone back to Mesa Recto lineup? I know they used the mark series, then he went to wizards, then to Diezel, and has always used the Triaxis with a custom eq unit, just wondering if he uses recto's at all anymore, like on the Some Kind of Monster dvd, where they do the oakland raiders game, is he running through that black face Triple sitting behind him with the Raiders logo on it?? From the last performances, it was the same live rack of VH4, Triaxis, and JC120 among other rack goodies

For the one-off/small shows like the raiders gig, he usually does use his old blackface triple recto. He also usually uses it backstage to warmup on as well. He had this setup along with the VH4 at the VH1 RNR hall of fame where they performed hole in the sky and iron man too.

I bought the type of LED strips that are made for a car, at my local electronics store. I got some zip ties and tied them to the metal bar in the back. Then I wired a 12v power adapter to them.
