Hi,

Im considering buying the above, but I just want to make sure that they are different (i.e. anniversary plate etc) than the regular Mark V heads?

I have looked online but they look like the regular ones, could someone confirm?

Cheers

Gary

Dont think they made any 40th anniversay heads . To my knowledge they made 75 combos and that was it .

Hi,

It says 40th anniversary, is it just a sales tactic?

If so I'll just buy a used one!

cheers

Yeah, I've seen they they are called 40th at some retailers. It is the 40th year they have been made but it's not the special addition (the wood combo that is numbered). That is the same head you can buy anywhere at the same price.

All Mark V amps are 40th anniversary amps. Celebrating 40 years of mesa amps by putting in Mark 1, Mark 2c+, and mark 4 into one amplifier. . .with extra goodies of course. Those are just limited edition 40th anniversary amps.
