Mesa Mark IV

Are the older models more desirable than the new ones or would you say they are the same? I1ve read that the older ones are more like the Mark IIc+ whereas the new ones not so.

I don't think that's true. I have an old Mark IV before Mesa made any changes. I called Mesa and they said the old ones sound identical to the new ones. The changes they made only affected the amp functions and did not affect the tone. That said, I've never compared my amp to a newer one, so I'm just relaying what Mesa said.

I've owned both before - a first run Mark IV and a newer one from 2001. The differences are unnoticable.
